Once you make a reservation online (which is very easy & uses PayPal as the payment method). You will be emailed the gate code, lock box code for the cabin key & a phone # in case you need anything.
Given that they have a map of the area which shows the cabin locations along the roads it was very easy to find the cabin. I did how ever over look the lock box serveral times before I found it, It's not in a hard spot to find,
it was just one of those situations were something is right in front of you but you just don't see it. Which is were the saying "if it had been a snake it would have bit me" applies.
The cabin isn't huge, but it doesn't feel small either at least not for 2 people. The inside is very nice & open. Has a good size kitchen & living room as well as master bedroom.
Which has a full bathroom. Tub, shower, sink, etc... There is also a nice sized dresser in the bedroom as well as a small closet. The second bedroom is smaller has a small bathroom with sink, toliet & cabinet.
The Jaccuzi is also in this room. While it is small (one person really), I really enjoyed it after hiking all day. The hot water really helps your aching muscles.
The cabin has two decks a top & bottom. The bottom only has one chair, But the top deck goes almost all the way around the cabin (all but one side). Has a picnic table, swinging chair & Charcoal grill on the back side. The front also has a swinging chair. The side has 3 one person chairs & one
big one which could seat two adults. A short walk off the lower deck (maybe 6 yards) is the fire pit with three long log seats. And a great view of the mountains in the distance.
I highly suggest you check out the photos I took at the cabin. They will give you a much better idea of what it looks like than I can describe. I've never been good at this stuff (explaining something in detail), but I thought I would give it a try.
I created a gallery for it with links to it placed at the end of this review & in the right menu section of this page. You can't miss it, it's a photo
of the Grandview cabin which has Grandview cabin written on it. I really enjoyed my stay at the Grandview & will definetely rent it again.
In conclusion, If you want a nice cabin inside & out with great or should I say "Grand views"
I doubt you would find a better one than the Grandview cabin. The name really does say it all. You not only have a grand view of the gorge & sunsets, but stars too. The milky way go's right over the cabin & there is virtually no light pollution from the surrounding area.
So if you decide to rent the Grandview there's really only three things you need to bring, Your food, charcoal & definetely a camera. (plates, cups, pots & pans already there)
On the next page is the information provided for the Grandview on their website, Along with a link to the website & photos I took at the cabin during my stay.
